When you think about terraced housing it might conjure up images of Coronation Street or of old fashioned and cramped living space? Looking at the front of this week's house you might not think this any different, save from it being newly built, but once you get inside it really is a different way of living.
Making the most of a tiny plot, the architects have created a two bedroom, living room and kitchen terraced house that has the kind of features you might find on Grand Designs
Bifold doors leading from the kitchen to the tiny garden is a master stroke here as it increased the living space without the house extending further out the back.
Although outside of the kitchen there aren't many design flourishes, we do like the use of glass doors allowing you to see right through the property and their bold use of handles with a square rose.
If you want the same look we have the Atlantic S24-S-SC Kansas Status Lever on Square Rose available to order online today
This week's house is a bit of a Marmite creation and we're sure that it'll divide opinion. It's a monster of a house with eight bedrooms and 5.5 acres of gardens. It's also got a full leisure centre and games room as well as acres of wood throughout. We might not love all of the features but [...]
This week's house is one that you could easily drive past and think it's just another large house on an estate, but take a closer look and you'd discover that it's actually a bit better built and more interesting than that. As usual, the difference between run of the mill and interesting comes down to the [...]

This week's house is a another rare one for Scotland - a new build, architect designed terraced house in Edinburgh. It's nestled in a lovely position overlooking the Water of Leith and although it's a tight plot, the designer touches, clever layout and high end fixtures make this a rather appealing prospect. As you can see above, [...]
Up here in Scotland, where Ironmongery UK is based, we're lucky enough to have a great selection of period properties from the sandstone villas and tenements of the central belt to the silver granite beauties of Aberdeen. What we're not so well endowed with is modern, architect designed homes. Since Ironmongery UK is passionate about helping [...]

In that time we've come to learn just about everything there is to know about ironmongery - but we're not finished learning yet. With this new website we're [...]
